The oceans can be saved by reducing the use of plastic by favoring products that are not over-packaged, in recyclable packaging, the size of which is adjusted to the product.
It would also be necessary to regulate fishing but also to moderate our consumption of fish and opting for a diet of plant origin could have a significant impact.
The oceans are also massively affected by greenhouse gas emissions.
The clean walk consists of going directly to pick up waste on the beaches so that it does not end up in the sea. There are more and more clean walks being organized all over France and around the world. Why not devote 30 minutes of our time to saving the oceans.
Nowadays, cosmetics have taken a big place, so you have to choose your cosmetics carefully while maintaining your beauty, you can contribute to the protection of the oceans! Some brands are committed to the ocean by offering adapted formulas, giving a share of the profits to associations, promoting the cultivation of depolluting algae.
For example: "Ren Skincare X Surfrider Foundation"
In 2021, Ren Skincare achieved one of its goals: zero waste. This means that 100% of the brand's packaging is now recycled, recyclable or reusable. To go even further, Ren Skincare has also joined forces with the Surfrider Foundation, an NGO created in the 1980s by American surfers.
The brand had set itself the mission of protecting the oceans. In 2021, more than 413 kg of waste was collected in this way. The brand has also supported activists including Planet Patrol founder and environmental activist Lizzie Carr, who has documented more than 9,000 pieces of litter collected at paddleboarding events with the brand. There is also the Biotherm brand which is (once again) committed to the preservation of marine environments with the Tara Ocean Foundation. We know that the formulas of certain creams have a big impact on the oceans. The "Waterlover" solar range, respectful of the skin and the environment.
Cruise ship tourism is also a real threat to the oceans. According to a study by the NGO, 94 liners of the Carnival cruise line alone emit ten times more sulfur dioxide than 260 million cars in Europe. We should then give up, boycott cruise tourism and instead favor other types of holidays that respect the environment.
In order to hope to save the seas, the oceans… we have to change the activities that are done on earth. The oceans cover nearly two-thirds of our planet. We need it for water, food, climate and the oxygen we breathe. Nearly half of the planet's population depends directly on the seas. The oceans are a source of renewable energies, natural resources and new molecules for medical care and phytosanitary and veterinary treatments.
How can young people travel while respecting the environment in France?

The covid health crisis has raised awareness, ecology has become one of the essential concerns, especially in means of transport. Young people are all the more concerned that they are open to the innovation of other alternatives available to them. However, it is necessary to get them to completely change their habits in terms of travel.
The Minute Auto site took an interest in the modes of transport of young French people. He surveyed 2,082 of them to learn about their transportation habits to get to their place of study.
The results of his study are ultimately not so favorable to environmentally friendly solutions: 37% of young people questioned go to study in a motorized vehicle, while 22% use public transport, 19% opt for carpooling, 16% favor walking and only 6% use their bicycle.
Walking is therefore neglected by many students. How to explain it? The place of study is very often located in town and it is not easy to live nearby. In addition, some places remain difficult to access and walking generally means having more time to make the journey.
All the more, public transport covers a very large part of the territory of agglomerations. For example, in Créteil around the UPEC campuses, there is metro line 8, buses 181, 281, 317, O1, O2 and the TVM as well as RER D stations about ten minutes away by bus.
This survey highlights the popularity of bicycles with students only 6% use the bicycle, this is a disappointing figure. It is all the more disturbing to observe that all the largest cities have made cycle paths available while removing the axes of roads mainly used by motorized vehicles. Between Choisy and Créteil, this just created unbearable traffic jams for car owners.
Everyone knows the need to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, microparticles and toxic fumes in the short term. The bicycle is the ideal mode of transport to achieve this.
Self-service bicycle companies such as Velib, LIME, DOTT, TIER are providing solutions to these drawbacks by developing a range of electric bicycles accessible to everyone.
this very economical solution can be used for a low price, after simple registration and installation of an application. The electric motor helps students save time on their commute and can save them from overexertion.
By its concept, self-service bicycles also exclude the risk of theft and the need for maintenance. Parking is easy, since it is possible to store your bike even if the station is full. This is an ecological solution that promotes the use of bicycles for a "one-way" route: you can go home or join friends, it is not compulsory to keep the bicycle with you.
